Not everyone needs a muse

Although we have heard quite a bit about the creative crisis of writers, there are some who have not even been touched by this problem during their lives. Among them is, for example, the excellent science fiction writer Isaac Asimov (1920‒1992), who wrote and/or edited 500 books and also wrote hundreds of short stories. It is difficult to compete against such performance, but it is not impossible! The world record is held by the Spanish author Corín Tellado (1927‒2009) with 4,000 published works, followed by the Brazilian author Ryoki Inoue (1946‒) with 1,075 works, and then the Englishman Enid Bayton (1897‒1968), who published 800 volumes. Let’s face it, Stephen King, who is famous for his productivity, is not even in the tree line with his 60 novels and more than 200 short stories.
