Writing of any genre is unthinkable without reading. Of course, just because you read a lot doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll become a world-famous writer or win a Nobel Prize for literature. At the same time, reading expands vocabulary, introduces us to different narrative styles and, through them, expands our own skills to express ourselves in writing. And even without a Nobel Prize, this is useful knowledge that can be put to good use at work, when writing formal emails, and who knows: maybe one day when writing a love letter.
